The Urban Trauma Awareness and Wellness Project, Inc.'s (UTAWP) mission is to build resilience in trauma-affected Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) communities through resource mobilization, revitalization and education centered around spiritual care and wellness.
Our vision is to provide psycho education regarding the devastating effects of trauma in BIPOC communities. More specifically, we will provide free counseling services, micro business assistance, wellness programming and spiritual care to families that are survivors of trauma involving the loss of a child ages 5-19 in DeKalb County.
